Thistle is an independent florist based in a bustling neighbourhood on Bishopthorpe Road, York.

Kali first came to York for university, but it wasn’t long before the city captured her heart and became home. After spending years working in one of York’s much-loved local coffee spots, she decided it was time to bring another lifelong passion into the city: flowers. Inspired by a childhood spent learning to grow alongside her grandmother in the garden, and more recently through tending her own allotment, Kali has turned that love of growing into Thistle; a florist rooted in the joy, beauty and seasons of nature. Step inside, and you’ll find flowers chosen with care and a little piece of the countryside brought into the heart of York.
